Development of a dual-use modular unmanned ground support platform

The aim of the project is to develop a dual-use modular unmanned ground support platform, together with a digital solution – an extended reality (XR) simulator for training UGV users in operating, servicing and repairing the vehicle and in evacuating casualties with UGV assistance. In the military field the platform will serve as an unmanned ground support platform for military personnel, intended for cargo transport, reconnaissance, evacuation of the wounded and other functions. In the civil field it can be used by the State Fire and Rescue Service and the Emergency Medical Service, for example to transport casualties and cargo, or in security work such as surveying open terrain.

The project falls under the RIS3 areas of Smart Materials, Technologies and Engineering Systems and Information and Communication Technologies. Development of the platform is directly linked to research and innovation in the thematic niches of technologies; equipment, devices and systems; algorithms; electronics; and robotics. The resulting dual-use product matches the Ministry of Defence technology development priority 1 “Robotics and autonomous systems”.
