Guarantees for economic operators to improve competitiveness — expanded scope (small mid-caps and military projects)

Who can apply

Micro, small, medium-sized, small mid-cap, and mid-cap enterprises can apply, as well as enterprises with military projects in the security and defence sector. Financial service providers must have operated in the relevant field for at least three years. The applicant must not be in difficulty or subject to insolvency proceedings.

Share of costs covered

Intangible assets for large enterprises can be financed up to 50% of the total eligible investment costs, and up to 100% for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

What can be paid for

• Intangible assets
• Tangible assets in investment projects
• Fixed assets manufactured or acquired within a military project

What cannot be paid for

Physically completed or fully implemented projects, except for extensions or refinancing of Altum commitments

Key conditions

• Military projects require an opinion from the Ministry of Defence on compliance with national security interests
• Military projects must ensure accounting separation of activities and costs
• The beneficiary must not commence activities that would qualify as state aid for the military project
• Altum conducts checks and monitoring during the useful life of the fixed assets

How to apply

The project application is submitted to "Altum". For military projects, an opinion from the Ministry of Defence must be attached to the application.
